For Rimming
- Vanilla frosting and sprinkles for rimming the glass
For the Martini
- 1 ½ ounce vanilla vodka
- 1 ½ ounces Irish cream
- 2 ounces whole milk
- 1 ounce amaretto
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- Ice
Coat the rim of a martini glass with vanilla frosting, then dip the rim into sprinkles spread on a shallow plate and set the glass aside. The frosting should look smooth and even, with enough grip to hold the sprinkles without sliding down the glass.
Add the vanilla vodka, Irish cream, whole milk, amaretto, powdered sugar, and ice to a cocktail shaker, seal it, and shake for at least 15 seconds. The shaker should feel very cold in your hands, and the mixture should look lightly foamy and fully blended.
Strain or pour the cocktail into the prepared glass and serve right away. You should catch a quick whiff of vanilla and almond as the frothy drink hits the glass.
Flavor Variations: For a spiced cookie version, try using RumChata instead of Irish cream. To make it a white chocolate martini, substitute the amaretto with white chocolate liqueur.
Dairy-Free Option: Use a dairy-free cream liqueur and creamy oat milk for a vegan-friendly version. Serve immediately as some plant-based milks can separate.
Perfect Rim Tip: For a neat, non-dripping sprinkle rim, use a thin layer of thick frosting on a chilled glass. This helps the rim set quickly.
Batching for a Party: To make a large batch, combine all liquid ingredients and powdered sugar in a pitcher and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Stir well before serving, then shake individual portions with ice to get the classic frothy texture.
