Instructions
Place the marshmallow fluff and thawed whipped topping in the mixing bowl, then use the electric mixer at medium speed to bring them together. Stop when the white mixture looks evenly blended, without thick pockets of marshmallow creme.
Work the hot cocoa mix into the bowl at medium speed for about 2 to 3 minutes. The pale streaks should disappear into a creamy, evenly chocolate-colored mixture with a soft satin sheen.
Transfer the finished dip to a serving bowl, or cover it and refrigerate until serving. The dip should hold a soft mound while remaining easy to scoop.
Notes
Texture tip: If the cocoa mix feels slightly gritty after mixing, cover and refrigerate the dip for 15 minutes so the dry granules have time to absorb moisture and soften completely.Handling: Stop mixing as soon as the dip becomes uniform and creamy. Excessive beating can deflate the airy whipped topping and lead to a runny consistency.Storage: Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator to prevent it from drying out. Keep dippers and garnishes separate until serving to maintain crispness.Nutrition information is an estimate based on common ingredients and serving sizes.
