- 4 Slices White Bread
- 3 Tbsp Butter at room temperature
- 1/2 C Sprinkles
Trim the crusts from the white bread, then spread the room-temperature butter across each slice all the way to the edges. The bread should stay flat and soft, with a thin, even buttery surface and no torn spots.
Cover the buttered bread with sprinkles, press them on with a light touch, then cut each slice into triangles and serve. The nonpareils should look evenly attached while the bread remains fluffy rather than compressed.
Serving tip: Assemble fairy bread close to party time so the soft bread does not soften excessively and the nonpareils retain their delicate crunch.
Ingredient handling: Ensure the butter is completely softened to room temperature so it glides smoothly to the crusts without pulling or tearing the bread.
Cleanup tip: Place slices in a rimmed baking sheet or tray before pouring sprinkles so runaway nonpareils stay contained and easy to funnel back into the jar.
