Easy Cinnamon Sugar Pizza Made With Crescent Rolls
Rebecca Blumer
Turn a humble tube of crescent roll dough into a bakery-worthy treat with this cozy dessert pizza. Browned butter, warm cinnamon, and a sweet vanilla glaze make every bite perfectly flaky and delicious.
Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the sugary topping does not stick to the pan.
Let the crescent dough sit at room temperature for exactly 10 minutes before opening. Unroll it onto the prepared sheet and press the seams together firmly with your fingertips until you have one smooth sheet.
Build the Cinnamon Sugar Layer
Warm the butter gently in a small pan just until the milk solids turn lightly golden and the aroma becomes nutty and toasty.
Brush the browned butter evenly over the dough, taking it all the way to the edges. In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then shower it over the buttered surface in an even layer.
Bake and Cool
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the crust looks golden brown and the cinnamon sugar on top appears set and fragrant. Pull the pan from the oven and let the pizza rest for about 5 minutes.
Glaze and Finish
Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and lump-free. Add the milk slowly so the glaze remains thick enough to drizzle in thin ribbons.
Drizzle the vanilla glaze over the slightly cooled pizza, then finish with a very light pinch of flaky sea salt. Slice and serve while it is still warm.
Notes
Dough Temperature: Let the crescent roll dough sit at room temperature for exactly 10 minutes before unrolling to prevent the seams from splitting in the oven.Glazing Window: Wait about 5 minutes after baking before applying the glaze. If the pizza is too hot, the icing will melt directly into the crust.Butter Coverage: Brush the browned butter completely to the edges so the entire crust bakes up evenly golden without leaving dry corners.Nutrition information is estimated based on common ingredients and serving sizes and may vary.
